LSN Mobile Launches "Local News, Weather and More" Apple® iPhoneTM App
LSN's iPhone app debuts in the top 10 in the "Top News Apps" category
ATLANTA, August 12, 2009 - LSN Mobile, with the nation's largest network of local news content for mobile users, today announces the availability of its "Local News, Weather and More" Apple® iPhoneTM application that aggregates news and information from 170 local broadcast affiliates. Consumers can access local breaking news, video clips, weather, sports scores, school closings and more from LSN's network of local media. The free app is ranked at #10 in the "top news apps" category.

According to research from IPG's Universal McCann and AOL, one out of every seven minutes of media consumption today takes place via mobile devices (July 2009).
In addition to being able to access information from any of the 210 Demographic Metropolitan Areas (DMAs), a key feature of Local News, Weather and More is that users can share relevant content. Using SMS or email, users can share news and content to other users on any network or any handset. The ability to share news and content is an attractive social networking-esque feature that also increases page views and therefore increases opportunities for an advertiser's brand to be seen.
Local News, Weather and More works using LSN's proprietary media-to-mobile platform that aggregates and delivers news and other content from 170 local media partners, offering their stations' branded Web site content. The application is downloaded to the iPhone which pulls preset news and content and updates real time.
